A guide how to care for your kitten .

When you have decided you are ready to add a  Savannah to your home, first start by preparing your home.

Cat litter box.

A clean and spacious litter box for your kitten’s bathroom needs.

Water and food bowls

Durable water and food bowls for daily hydration and nourishment.

Proper Food

Have a sampling of the food your kitten has been eating. We will send home food that we currently feed so they will adjust easier.

Bed and Blanket

A cozy bed and soft blanket to keep your kitten warm and comfortable.

Veterinarian

It’s important you have a veterinarian picked out and ready when you need them.

Scratching post

This is very important as kittens love to scratch.  The more you have the better.

Cat Toys

Make sure you have plenty of safe toys for both of you to play with!

Keep in Mind These Essentials

It is very important that your new kitten remain isolated for a minimum of two weeks to allow for adjustment to its new home. Each cat/kitten will differ in the time that it needs to acclimate to its new family and new surroundings.

Your cat/kitten needs to feel safe and secure to develop a bond with you so that he/she trusts you. It is also important that it bonds to you before getting to know other animals in the house or it might not bond to you.

If you are thinking of bringing one of our cats or kittens into your family they are never to be allowed to free roam. They need a secure cattery or to be harness trained. Harness training and taking your Savannah  with you places is something they enjoy as much as we do when socialized properly.

Some generations of Savannahs are not legal in some states, so please check local laws in your city, state & county
